Little Bit About Me:
My name is Julie-Anne Nihmey. This is my eighth year at St. Anne. So far, I have had seven great years teaching Grade 3 at St. Anne and I am looking forward to another great year this year! I grew up in Ottawa. I attended Holy Family Catholic School from JK to Grade 6 and St. Patrick's High School from Grade 7 to 13. I did my undergraduate at St. Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia, where I graduated with an Advanced Major in Psychology. I completed my Teachers College in the East Coast as well, in Presque Isle, Maine. I taught Grade 3 for two and a half years in Mexico and have taught all grades from Kindergarten to Grade 6 here in Ottawa, with the exception of Grade 5.
To the right is our class Twitter feed where I will post pictures of some of the activities that are taking place in the classroom and at school.

Lunch notes:
Your child's lunch should include at least 3 snacks. I encourage healthy snacks, especially in the morning. Some ideas for snacks are: cheese and crackers, fruit, yogurt, veggies and dip and applesauce. I ask that the children save their sweet treats as a dessert after lunch or for their afternoon snack. Please make sure all lunches are nut free, as we do have children in our in our classroom with life-threatening allergies to nuts.
Please make sure that the shoes that your child comes to school with indoor and outdoor shoes and that they are safe to run in, as they will be used for physical education class.
